Bird Anniversary

My anniversary is coming up this Thursday, so I needed to make a card for my husband. I always struggle with "manly" cards... especially for events like anniversaries! I have seen the bird punch used in this way by others, so I thought I would try it! I really love how it came out!

The birds are punched and then outlined with a white gel pen and mounted on dimensionals. The heart is from the Three Heart Punch and is also mounted on dimensionals.

The backgrounds are from retired designer paper called, Au Chocolate. Needless to say, it is one of those dps that I never use! ACK! I accented it with the retired Sage Shadow and the current Riding Hood Red.

The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes.

The sketch is today's Techno Stamper: Monday Lunchtime Sketch!

Thanks for stopping by!

OMG! That is so cute. Love that you kept the birds basic and added the white around it. Fabulous job. Hope you have a great anniversary! Thanks so much for playing along with my sketch challenge this week!

I have saved this for almost a year and have finally made a copy of your card. Mine is almost as pretty as yours. Thanks for sharing you idea. I am a pretty good copy cat, but have a hard time coming up with my own ideas.
